Privacy Policy

Stay & Scout is a brand of VDGT, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what stayandscout.com collects, why, and who it is shared with. If you still have questions after reading it, contact us using the details at the end.

What we collect

• The answers you give in our questionnaire, including your travel plans and preferences, and whether you meet the resort’s conditions for attending the presentation.
• Your email address and mobile number, if you choose to give them.
• A record of the consent you gave or declined: the exact wording shown to you, the time, your IP address and your browser details.
• Technical information your browser sends, such as IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit.
• If you book, the details needed to complete your reservation. Card details go to the payment processor over an encrypted connection and are not stored on our servers after the transaction.

How we use it

• To check whether the offer is a fit for you, and to send your invitation.
• To arrange your stay with our fulfillment partner and contact you about it.
• If you agreed, to call and text you about your invitation and travel offers, as described in the consent you gave.
• To keep the site secure, measure how it performs and improve it.
• To comply with the law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is needed:

• Monster Reservations Group (MRG), which fulfills your stay and handles reservations and customer support.
• The resort that provides your accommodation, for your booking.
• Service providers acting on our behalf, such as hosting, email, messaging and payment processing.
• Advertising partners such as Meta. They receive information about your visit through cookies and, once you have given them to us, your email address and phone number in hashed form, so the address and number themselves are not sent. We use this to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. They do not receive your answers to the questionnaire.
• Authorities, when we believe the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.

Calls and text messages

If you give your mobile number and agree, Stay & Scout and MRG may call and text you about your invitation and travel offers, as stated where you agreed. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Apart from MRG, as named in that consent, we do not share your mobile number or your consent record with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Your consent is specific to Stay & Scout and does not transfer to other programs.

Email

We email you about your invitation and your stay. Marketing emails identify themselves as advertising and carry an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and your browser’s local storage, which lets the questionnaire pick up where you left off. We may use advertising and analytics tools from companies such as Meta and Google, which set their own cookies to measure our ads. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then stop working.

Security and retention

We use physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect your information and limit access to the people who need it to do their jobs. No website can guarantee security. We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and you can ask us to delete it.

Children

Our offer is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe we have, contact us at hello@stayandscout.com.

Your California privacy rights

Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask whether we have disclosed their personal information to third parties for those parties’ direct marketing purposes. Email hello@stayandscout.com. We respond to one request per customer each year.

Visitors covered by the GDPR

If European Union or United Kingdom data protection law applies to you, VDGT, LLC is the controller of your personal data, and you may complain to a supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page.
